Default The boys and gals of Nairobi - 11-19-2007, 08:28 AM

When I first relocated, I looked up old friends, trying to get a sense of the place as I'd been gone for quite some time. One of them, when I was discussing the freewheeling sexual life of the west shook his head and smiled, as at a child, and said "my dear, you have no idea what the boys and girls of Nairobi do for fun"
Couple of years later, I find that I can no longer take discussions about infidelity or morality seriously.. to be a Nairobian is to be a hedonist, a follower of Ambrose Bierce's dictum.."do what thou wilt is the whole of the law".
Don't say this (with variations) hasn't happened to you or someone you know.
You drop in on a female friend who you've f.ucked on occasion looking for some, find she's with a friend, call another friend who calls another friend, and before you know it two guys are screwing in the corner while you and the chick, turned on as all hell, watch.
Or you pass by your boys place, planning to share a joint and a beer and go your way, but find that he's with a chick, they are watching porn, and the idea of a threesome turns her on. It would be rude not to oblige.
Or among the more "polite", James is hiring a car from John, who drops the car off on his way to Nakuru to meet up with John's girlfriend, Jane.. Jane is married, James is married, John is married. James is on way to coast with the cute new intern who was hired the other day. Her much in love boyfriend who even screws her without a CD thinks its a business trip.
Believing in monogamy, fidelity, romantic love ala the Montagues and the Capulets will just get you burned in this town, so its much better to let go and join the party.

True dat, Nairobi should now be called Sodom, I was with a friend friday who was telling me that she was so shocked when she over heard her 17 year old sister talking with her friend about "being with girls" and her friend was telling her sister how she "has been with Tina and it was fun"...we we're so shocked, I mean these girls are toddlers and their talking about "experimenting"?? We talked about it for hours and couldn't quite figure what has gone wrong, at 17 I was thinking about homework and maybe Roberto Baggio ...lol... but if he came near me at that age I'd scream my lungs out ...
p.s why didn't you mention celibacy as an option?..lol

Wow, you make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it! Just like God.
