What I know from psychology is that the act of strangulation temporarily restricts blood flow to the brain and induces a reaction similar to the one one gets when they are high on drugs. I heard that if rape is inevitable you might as well enjoy it and report later to the police after he has released you. As much as it is abominable, I think the first thing should be self preservation. Again that is my take. I think the medical term is vaginismus. And strangulation is not the best way to get round it as the problem is mostly psychological. In the movie "Rising Sun" (Sean Connery, Wesley Snipes), the impression is that the murdered woman might have suffered the condition - or just enjoyed rough s e x.
