I tend to disagree with you, love is soooo not what you put up there, even GOD defines what love trully is.

So love can't just be a feeling of something you have never felt before, We all have been loved by one person (Not just God!), but by our parents, we know that love cannot be a rush of emotions that you have never felt before, real love is sacrifice that even you can't understand.
Real love is commitment.
Real love is forgiving
Real love is always being there when others think you should honestly let go.

Reggie, just because you do not believe that people can actually love you that much does not mean they don't.

It is not metaphoric, I know I have f*cked up so many times and my parents still believe in me.

Don't get me wrong son, I'm not saying LOVE CLOSES YOUR EYES TO THE TRUTH. I'm saying, love allows you to forigive sins you would originally flip out over. Love...TRUE love actually makes you want someone to becomea better person even when you know that they aren't even trying.

I wish I knew specifically where I saw someone talking about the real love they have experienced from their parents, you know..something that makes you think... "Man! If it wasn't for love, this woman would have kicked me out of her digs"

So, in a nutshell, just because your a smart ass, doesn't not mean your mother still doesn't believe you can be a nice person. :-)

Aiight my definition..by the way Nadia what u said tis true. This is how i define love and i'm not talking parental. Love is when he ####s up, and you feel like taking a knife and shoving it down his throat, u step back, take a deep breath, and after a minute, u can't wait for him to call u. (After u calm down!) Love is all about forgiveness.

It is hard to find true love of the romantic kind. It exists, but it is very rare. Most times, romantic love is not unconditional. Your azz will be kicked out and replaced if you don't follow an unspecified list of demands. You can replace your girlfriend and go on with your life without ever talking to her again, and you wouldn't feel a thing. Try doing that with your family! That's the meaning of true love.
