The most common advise when unfortunate Mashadites come here to cry over their messed up relationships is that one should never put a 100% emotional investment in the relationship. So the q is what % should one invest? 21%? 53%? 76%?

PS: learned the hard way a while back after laughing at Mashadites :D

i say give as much you get...but only...if your giving makes you happy..sawa. If you give to make someone else happy...check yourself! thats when you start ma-expectations...ati "you're so inconsiderate..sob sob"..."you never have time for me"...you expect the other party to also give solely for your happiness.....but thats my take...I cant conceal my cynicism towards relationships though...

It's not all men who are crap , u just have had a BAD selection of men coz definately u dont have a sample space which will quantify a non-null hypothesis.

So work on ur selection criteria hon.

well,my 2 cents...I don't like giving 100% emotional attachment cuz then you make yourself vulnerable to insanity.I will do lots for my man but pliz let my 20% emotional security deposit remain .....may be with marriage or longer form of commitment, the security deposit will gradually decrease since then more years might cause depreciation..lol..its all abt protecting oneself cuz if I'm so emotionally crushed by one dude then another, who could be the "deserving" one might lose in the mix.
