C'mon Labell,

What I was saying also involves girlfriends. That is the first sign of a weak relatioinship. Ultimatums (sp?). What bothers me is that early on in the relationship, someone is being forced to make life changing relationships to someone they really don't know. What happens if you don't hit it off or if things don't work out? slither back to the friends you lost? or go make other friends who you can later on dump when you meet another man/woman.
This is simply a control issue.

If the cards were played well, both the parties would automatically drop their other potential candidates without being forced to do so by their partners.

Giving conditions in advance may signal some insecurity sort of. In which case, there would be no need to get into such a relationship after all.
