men where have you been? Haven't you seen they even paid for an advertisement on mashada? I think the whole idea of pre-weddings has been abused and has turned to show how greedy some of us can be?? Why should we pay for your car, or your down-payment to your dream house???? because that is what the money raised does.

It is retrogression!!! They sound like wonderful people, but advertising your pre-wedding so that even strangers can come and dish out their $$$, seems wrong - is wrong in my opinion

In MY OPINION (make note of that) this couple can advertise their prewedding if they want to, I don't see anything wrong with that. It's entirely upto you to either respond to the invitation or to simply ignore it and go about your business. Just an honest opinion that should not turn into a federal case........piiisshh!

You don't have enough cash to do a wedding, then keep to your limits.Simply and clear.

Kajulia, quite frankly I do not know that many average Kenyans in particular with enough money to do weddings, needless I mention their other objectives. Ever had of Harambees? Last time I checked Harambee's were done in aid of different functions set forth that needed to be accomplished where funds were/are scarce. It's more of a humble request rather than that of a forced nature, so let's keep it real here! Jeeze whatever happened to graciously volunteered community effort.

Keeping it real ma peoples, keeping it real!

And what exactly are we basing this progression or retrogression on?

If people want to advertise their weddings, pre-weddings, post-weddings, pre-nuptials, post-nuptials, nuptials, or whatever...what is wrong with that?

It's an Ad. you can either respond by going or not. Your opinion as to whether this is a good idea or a bad idea is neither here nor there and clearly wasn't asked for. Tothi hizi!

To me it appeared fine - a nice couple in love - leading an average way of life and quite happy. The only differnce between advertising in papers and on internet is the dynamism in communicating with others - information on the net reaches a wider audience with outmost convinience. And bearing in mind that the general idea behind this internet saga is providing information at the right place, right time, in right quality and quantity, the couple did just the right thing. No cause for treating this medium with awe and reservations.
