oooh Queenie beenie, high how r u? i didn't mean it literally y'know. Did my comment annoy you - it wasn't meant to y'know. The Bible does make reference to this in the Adam and Eve story doesn't it. I mean, the snake and the woman weren't very different were they? i mean being sly and conniving y'know?

I agree with most of the responses. Alot of us women have low self esteem(s) and are very insecure. I like what someone said about us not having achieved our goals - be it careerwise, landing the "perfect" man, kids, looks, etc and thus we end up playa hating on those who have attained these things. Unfortunately, this also has alot to do with the way we were brought up and the examples we saw from the women around us - be it our mothers, aunts, etc. We heard them gossip and belittle other women, our mothers when lecturing us would ask us "...why can't you be like so and sos daughter?"

So, while it is easy to say that women need to become self-confident, it is not easy to undo a lifetime worth of damage. How do we overcome?

I was coming to work, early in the morning, as usual the mats in nairobi has a tendency of carrying school kids at the seat next to the driver(Nissan). One of the kids accidentaly stepped on the shoes of a beautiful dressed lady, who let out a scream; fourtenately the mother of the kid was in the same mat.,they started throwing harsh words to each, we joined in,we couldnt understand the anger and hostility of this woman.

This scenario shows that,women have some hostilities against anything which is not theres, for example; With this Aids scourge raveging, you find like, if the some kids are orphaned, the brother to the father of the kids, might decide to adopt the kids, but the wife of this man wont accept.

Or ask anybody who is tarmacking and stays with brother and sister in-law, how the sister in-law treats them!!

Hi girls!
I think that the 'strife' among women is not as bad as it put out to be.
I have a theory. Could it be that women are 'harsher' to other women because growing up, mothers are harder on their daughters, for varied reasons, than their sons. This treatement of mother-to-daughter is passed on to how we view other women. As in, our mothers kinda want us to be responsible women so they give us earlier curfews, may scold us more, give us more household chores and be more critical about how it is done, for the first born girls, have the mother-daughter fights etc. As we grow older, we handle our sisters the same way.
for me I think boarding school in an all girls environment helped me learn how to interract successfully with women. Women are different and should be treated as thus. The one treatment fits all mentality is what limits us.
Statements common among women like "That is why I do not deal with women..." or "I only have guy friends..." further escalates the feeling that women are more jealous, have issues than men which I do not believe is true.
If you have no girlfriends...check yourself. Maybe the guyz are just tolerating you too ;)

I have always had good female friends. However my relationship with my male friends has been what you describe with women...RIVALRY. Men are more *****y than women.
