I'm going to use it myself and I have never used either software. My business is sales online using visa and mastercard for transactions. I need to keep track of who bought, how much, and when on a weekly basis, also I'm keeping track of the normal things, like sales of particular item's, shipments w/tracking numbers, mailing list....

I personally can't compare Access to Quickbooks for accounting purposes.
If you have a small business, get QuickBooks Pro. This is probably the best software out there for such purposes. Don't waste your time trying to run a business with Microsoft Access. |

I concurr. To get Access to offer the facilities QuickBooks does requires quite a bit of programming.

access is more general purpose but with a little knowlegde of VB and a little twicking it could work for you. but quickbooks is deffinately the thing specifically built for the accounting office, and offers loads of officed based solutions.
