What is the situation like in Kenya. I see government departments buying the cheapest and the most insecure hosting accounts -the type that you pay 9.99 $. Why not go for a dedicated secure hosting?
Today the standard featured a Kenyan musician and duly gave the url of his site but visiting the site, you get a message that it is down- Bandwidth Limit Exceeded The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later. Apache/2.2.10 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.10 OpenSSL/0.9.8i DAV/2 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at www.noninimusic.com Port 80 Has he been overwhelmed by downloads, the account is the cheapest and smallest or what? Examination council web site collapsed the other week after the results were out. This can happen to anybody but one can plan ahead of time by getting the right package and anticipating overload once you appear on news! Do you people think we should start taking the internet seriously?

Isn't it absurd that internet is still in the age of antiquity in Kenya? Sometimes I am ashamed that I live in this country called Kenya where ISPs are still behind Internet Technology just like me.
