Default what's your daily water intake - 06-16-2008, 04:42 AM

Wherever you are do you take notice of the volume of water you drink daily?

I didn't until i was advises that the average adult should consume atleast 2.5 litres of water per day.

The last time I checked, the most water I have taken in a day in the last God knows how many months, was 1.5 litres and that was this past Sato.

The only time I take lots of water is when I've eaten chocolate, ice cream, sweets or biscuits (to clear my system of the excess sugar) which shows up on my face in a day after such indulgences.

a lot of water is good.
detoxifies the mind n body.am on my second litre now.
n it's 15.46.

Research recommends 8-10 glasses of water so 8*240ml= 1.9L is minimum. 2.4-2.5 L max.Too much water will get you water intoxication! Plus u have to consider water is anything from tea, to juice from veggies,fruits,soup etc. I drink a max of 1.5 L plain water.

I sip on water all the time. I always have a glass of plain water on my table in the office that gets refilled the second its empty.The frequent trips to the water dispenser all add up to enough exercise for the day.

While in class I sip from my water bottle through out it has become a subconscious activity for me. I dont even keep tabs anymore.

Let me google water intoxication.

I sip on a lot of TAP water + ice cubes , though some gatorade has always to be at hand .

Excess water in the body leads to 'over' rehydration.

Water lacks electrolytes which are essential for maintaning a balance in our bodies for normal function of our cells and our organs . This essential electrolytes i.e sodium , potassium , chloride & bicarbonate are easily found in energy drinks like gatorade and they are lost by excessive sweating .

2.4-2.5L is minimum i think during summer the intake should be higher.Just drinking adequate water is enough to keep your skin healthy.Drinking adequate amount of water is also known to maintain a robust sexual stamina in both genders.
