Default 5 Vices that Can Bring You Down - 05-12-2008, 04:48 PM

For anyone immigrating over

1)Alcohol: Lord knows how many deportation stories have the following statements thrown somewhere in there:

“The guy was so boozed/ so high” that he DUId/didn't attend class/forgot to mail his VISA renewal forms/broke the law."

If you don't keep booze in check, it will definitely be a huge determiner of what you do or don't get in your life. Do you want a 375ml bottle to have that much control of your life?

2)No focus:
If you are about to immigrate or even in majuu already, one statement that can quickly two statements that can easily bring you down,

“We'll wait and see..” and/or:
“I don't know what I want to do.”

The problem with that is that majuu is RUN by people with very strong agendas...the media/corporations/governments/ Universities/ Cults/ Various niches and sub-niches of society.
If you have no idea what you want to do with your life, trust me, one of the above groups is just waiting to peddle you their truth. Even if your plan for life changes with time, make sure you come here with one.

3)Getting stuck in a rut: Wherever you are in life, there are other people there and those people can give you justifications and reasons why being there is the greatest place to be.

Don't disappoint yourself. If you know you want more than the current rut you are living in, get your focus back and keep on stepping until you reach your goals.

4)Sex: This word has two meanings. If you are a man, I refer to women, if you are a woman, I refer to men (or maybe even same sex, I don't know).

The second meaning is coitus and everything that surrounds it.

First to the fellas, a lot of women abroad don't need you! For them men are like buses, they miss one, there is another waiting to pick them up. For that reason don't come over to majuu with that

“I am God's gift to women and they'll all be addicted to my greatness,” attitude.

A lot of them may just want to use you and leave you.....very very very sad, but true. Actually women, the same thing applies to you. Be wary of STDs and people who want to use you to correct their paper work or insolvence.

5)Friends: Carrying on from the above point. Just because you should be careful, that's no reason to turn into a cold hearted person.

Always be on the look out for ways you can genuinely improve people's lives, especially those of people who are already trying to do the same and need just a little help.

The wrong friends will bring all the above four vices into your lives. The right ones will help you keep them in check and inspire you to be more than you could ever have been without them.

For anyone who may be in majuu or thinking of the commute. Hope the words above make your experience much better.

By the way, how could I have forgotten that one. And drugs are much worse than alcohol because they are so much more addictive and so much more expensive......thanks!
