That statement itself betrays exactly what I am talking about. Things is, even if an Ethiopian went out with an Ethiopian, he/she would still be going out with an African!!! Live with it.
Let me take a shot in the dark: nat89, did you grow up in Langata?

If an "african" has the money be sure to know the chick will be there.
|
The money aspect is there, but as I said, the women say that "Africans smell" so even an African in a brand new showroom Passat is suspect. Another comment an Ethiopian chick made to me: -
"People ask me why I date Africans, but even my sister is married to a mzungu in Europe and he beats her." In other words, a mzungu is expected to be more civilized than a nigga. Man, did I have to swallow my pride when I heard such statements.
The colour issue is meaningless, since the black race is the mother of all races. Light-skinned means nothing because even pre-Bantu-diaspora Africans like the bushmen, Hottentots, are very light-skinned, that doesn't make them non-African.
It's just arrogance.
Okay!

I grew up in muthaiga but that aside.
When i mentioned my mum it was just an example, cause you kept saying "africans" so i just thought i would give you an example.
Ofcourse my mum is african!
You of all people have to understand the lack of knowledge these people have.
They dont move forward they still hink africans are less that white guys.
Its the thinking and what htey have heard.
Before, it was an issue of colour. Who is darker than who. The darker you were the more african you were!
But that was before.
Please dont think i support this this thinking.
I am proudly african.

As said, I withdraw any suggestion...
Yes, I haven't been to Ethiopia/Eritrea but I just pick up impressions from the ones I befriend in the estates, clubs, etc.
By the way, this "colour-coding" is worse with African-Americans, it's quite embarrassing. In US campuses, admissions to Akataa fraternity/sorority clubs is often based on degree of darkness of skin. Then it causes fights ... maybe you've seen Spike Lee's movie School Daze where "the light-skinned "gammas" clash with underclass, dark-skinned "jigaboos." Black-on-black racism, shameful!
Okay!

So that is clear then.
No have not yet seen the film, but will like to so i will look for it.
You have every right to say what you just did because it is true and it does happen.
Glad we cleared that up
And now you know an Eritrean/Ethiopian who doesnt have that mentality.
Nice to meet you.

The food is sour and very hot hence why some people dont enjoy it.
They say you have to have a certain taste for it. Some people like it but the mjority dont.

The nyama-choma (beef, goat) on a sizzler ... nyummm, my mouth is already watering!
The red-hot egg and chicken in sauce, I enjoy like 10 bites before the heat becomes too much, I'll only take that if I'm sharing one plate with 2 or more people.
There's another watery-soup with flaky goat meat (I'm sure you know the names of these dishes), that's ok-dokey.
The mince, when well done is good, but raw!!!! yuckedy-yuck right-backtacha one-more time!!!! Tapeworms! Bacteria! (all said in fun, no culture-bashing here)
Okay!
