Default negros crying racism - 06-26-2007, 08:48 AM

easy to cry racism in the smallest things.how come BET (Black Entertainment) is allowed but not WET?can you imagine the uproar that would ensue if someone form Ohio or Southampton England or Sydney launched White Entertainment channel.and only featuring white music, culture etc?

yeah yeah, even my white friends admit it,to be born male and white is to be given a head start in life.im not talking just US,UK etc few months ago i travelled to the jamhuri with a friend of mine-white dude.every single restaurant we went to in Nairobi in mombasa, waiters automaticaly served him first, cartered to him 1st etc never mind i was footing the bills.so these things you can make noise about but thats the status quo, theyre white and lucky.

yeah, shutting up and doing nothing about racism is dumb but so is pulling out the "race card" everytime some sh1t goes down under genuine circumstance.

enyewe, that one of the jungu being served first automatically, yet it's you footing the bill is funny! lol! You can't determine what the waiters will do. I wouldn't be utterly shocked if that is inlcuded in their customer service training.

But i have seen many instances where the race card has been pulled out unfairly; but it always seem to work somehow. Like earlier on this year on the Celebrity BB UK, those girls were jealous that the Indian chic as she had things going for her, so they attempted to bully her; I didn't see it as racism. But the way the racism card was pulled out quick...wololo!

I had a little commotion with an African chic I work with and she went on and on over what I had supposedly done to her blah blah, I ended up telling her, I bet if I was white you would call me a racist, wouldn't you?

Supermann ur being disingenuous. Is eminem's music not played on BET? And lots of those kids are biracial or multiracial. I dont like the name BET but then again, 85% of hip hop consumers are white kids.

Jana in my class we had a heated argument about Abercrombie fitch's use of only white employees in prominent positions to portray a 'clean-cut classy" image. All students were like it is ok...ignoring the underlying message: that blacks are dirty and unclassy unlike whites. I was totally infuriated.

I agree with u Kemi...Robin Thicke has been nominated for an award at this year's BET awards. He is the 1st white person to ever be nominated. He apparently has worked a lot with Lil wayne. I think the name BET was coined just b/c the goal of the network is to provide entertainment for black people predominantly. Don't mean other races can't watch, besides many hip-hop fans aren't necessarily black. In fact, i had heard Free(she used to host 106 & Park with AJ) ask the audience to vote in Gwen Stefani's "Holla Back girl" video into the count down.

There is another show called "The White Rapper Show" hosted by DJ Search. A black guy showed up for the auditions and was asked if he read the name of the show..tsk tsk! The judges meant it was something for white people only. The interesting thing is one girl who was latino i believe made it to the show. She ain't necessarily white but i guess her skin tone wasn't dark enough to pass as black!

well, the racism card will always remain the joker, for the next many decades.

There was a news report recently in the UK stating that white boys are underperforming in schools at the moment. They are blaming the system saying too much emphasis has been placed on the black kids in an attempt to shift goal posts because of their previous underperformance; and now the average white boy is neglected and thus underperforming in class. I really wonder if this is so, coz there are schools in rural England that harldy have any black kids, so who is the teacher fussing on there? Some call it reverse racism.

@Wantai, down here its the reverse when it comes to education.black kids are "cool" if they underperform and "sell outs" if they do well. on the other hand white kids are "cool" if they are valedictorians.this is a disturbing trend, people got mad at Bill Cosby when he said this but its true black america has set low standards for its children, more so for boys than girls

I believe you are smart enough to understand why there cant be a WET. If your a.ss aint smart enough to understand that WET already exists, I'll help you out. WET is also known as ABC, CBS, WB, MTV, NBC,FOX etc etc. I hope i'm not going too fast for you, if I am google up what MTV used to look like before BET came along, get a little education in you before you utter ignorance.
