Default DOES AN ARTIST'S PERSONAL LIFE AFFECT YOUR VIEW OF HIS WORK? - 04-13-2002, 06:19 PM

The R.Kelly story with young girls, JayZ dissing African girls in his song, 'girls girls girls', Rappers who call women b.i.t.c.h.e.s and h.o.e.s and when interviewed justify themselves, Rev. Jesse Jackson scandal?
Do you hold artists and leaders up to certain standards or just enjoy their work separating their personal life vs their art/work?
Do you still support or enjoy their work as before or do you boycott or view them differently?

no. if i enjoy an artist, no matter what he does in his own time, it does not change the music or message
althugh the rkelly saga made me wonder about his lyrics in some songs. I have a daughter and this hit home close
