>>>The subject engages interest but is logially flawed. First, the methali is "Nguo ya kuazima" not "Nguo ya kuombwa".<<<

>The Top 12
>Chinua Achebe, Things Fall Apart, 1958

Definitely one of the best! Even though i was forced to read it as a set book ;).. i soon got so into it and now i marvel at a masterpiece, i don't know how many times i have read it, but the tribulations of Chinua's main character Okonkwo with the coming of the colonialist are a window into an Individuals struggle to find balance.
No Longer At Ease is also a great read.

>Ngugi wa Thiongo, A Grain of Wheat 1967

Ok this was definitely a "complex narrative" had to re-read to understand and soon i was hunting for his books. read the THE RIVER BETWEEN and PETALS OF BLOOD, wasn't able to read "matagari"
:( since DECOLONISING THE MIND was his farewell to English.
Great Authors without a doubt!
