Default Which is a good bookshop in Nairobi?    Show Printable Version  Print   Email this Page  Email

I am geting frustrated, I need to buy some books urgently and all I find at the usual bookshops in Nairobi, TextBook Centre and Bookpoint are some boring high school texts and some pop novels bla bla bla...

I need help, where can a graduate student find Masters level books in Nairobi? Or do I have to order the books from abroad? I'm afraid if I do so, the books might arrive too late.

Does any of you know a good bookshop in Nairobi which stocks good graduate level books?

There is none.

Here's what you do: Befriend a Kenyan Airways hostess/pilot who flies to India. There, she will get the best American books printed for the "Indian" sub-continent for the price of a pizza.

I have traveled that road before. But to Americans— that's cheating

Yanno

PS: I am assuming American books (or their knowledge) are still in vogue there. But don't squeeze me so hard— I am a dropout, if you remember

Thanks for the brilliant idea. Calling up my pals in KQ right now.

Those bookshops in Nairobi are just useless and extremely annoying, something needs to be done.
