Are there dollar stores (shilling stores) and Walmart in Kenya?
What would be the closest thing to a dollar store and wallmart if that is not in Kenya?

Lol there are exactly not dollar stores.But the last time I was there there were stores where everything was for a standard price eg a store that everything cost less than 50 shillings. I am sure that guys in kenya will give you more info


the equivalent of wallmart is Nakumatt.

Some of them are mega store and just as big as walmart and as sophisticated with everything that you can find in a walmart or target.

There are also various supermarkets of different sizes all over the country.

Remember in Kenya you can find everything that is found here with everything that you need. issue just comes down to affordability

That was my major fear that I would forget something and not be able to get it in Kenya. Nakumatt will be my best friend while in kenya I can calm down again now...thanks.

Yeah Nakumatt and another super store called Uchumi. I am not sure if you will be staying mainly in Kissi town and if so there may be some big stores either in Kisii town or in Kisumu which is not that far
