Yet on the other hand when a leader pursues peace, the christian right in the US rushes to say he is not making them safe?

Interesting that you say the presidency is just a vehicle but then go on and list presidential duties, steps he's taken towards peace. I say premature because most of what you've listed is in the process of being accomplished and we don't know the results yet. We are rewarding him for future accomplishments, is he deserving of that or should the prize go to s'one who's achievements can actually be quantified.

The man is brilliant and definitely deserves recognition, but I feel he has not done enough yet. He is going to accomplish a lot that's pretty obvious, but some things need to be given time.

Thanks Mumgy! Couldn't agree more. Some of the things those Fox political pundits say are just out of this world and make you go like 'WHAT, are you fcking serious? Do other people really believe that hogwosh?' I think Fox is the channel of choice for Sarah Palin.

It's no secret that the American economy is in the toilet, no matter what Obama "baba na mama" says. Economic recovery my foot! All he did was print more currency with no value to back it up. The future lies in the East and why?? What really happened in America in the 1940's to late '50's, around the time of the greatest evangelical explosion, compared to today?

The light of Christianity and wholesome prosperity go hand in hand. Thousands upon thousands of people in the Eastern part of the world are embracing Christianity like never before. Look at their economies... When the children of Israel turned their backs on God and began worshipping Baal, or when they elected ungodly leaders God punished them with drought and pestilence.

You really have to be part of the agenda if you can't deduce that present day America (and the West) is completely anti-God. Efforts to remove all traces of Christianity from schools, government, in short any public institution are the order of the day. Obama's views are completely leftist, there's no moral vice he doesn't support: abortion, gay marriage, stem cell research, just to name a few. There are steep consequences for these actions!

It's been a minute since 9/11, thank God! but people seem to have forgotten that terrorists are still a major threat to America's safety. Bush nyoroshad them properly and they laid low for a bit. However thanks to Obama, Gates' most recent report says that the Taliban resurgence now is at its strongest.

There was a CNN documentary Generation Islam aired sometime this past summer by Christine Amanpour. Did you see those kids chanting "you shall find my body in pieces" like it was some sort of mantra? Are you all familiar with Islam's tactics to take over the world? You'll be shocked to your boots if you know what these sly folks are upto. Diplomacy is a farce, it can never work in the long term.

Suddenly we acquired a little "intelligence" and so-called modernization along the way and think we're too sophisticated to consider the religious undertones of all major wars? There will never be world peace. The battle lines have been drawn; everyone take his/her position. Too bad we have a very weak general.

A win for Israel is a win for Christianity. A win for Palestine is a collective win for Islam and Allah.

In short, what Obama has managed to do is create a false sense of peace and hope in the hearts of unsuspecting Americans. I respect him as my president but I'm very wary of the direction he's taking this country and the world.
