@Type R, black women straighten/relax their hair not because they want to be "more white". I keep my hair relatively short, and I can tell you that it is still hard to manage. When it is chemically treated, it's easier to comb and manage. In fact, Oprah & Michelle Obama have natural hair(not chemically treated) but they use a flat iron to straighten it. You can't compare our hair with that of asians - theirs is the most straight.

ha ha...don't know about being hot. lol How I took it? Well, I was amused to say the least but not mad. What I found interesting and quite different from guys is that she asked me first if she could touch my hand. I told her I don't swing that way which she was very respectful about. We ended up chatting about relationships, etc. We are now friends and she knows where I stand on the matter though from time to time when she's drunk she makes passes at me. lol They really are just nice people, nothing to be afraid off.

actually "Roasting, cooking, boiling, treating, microwaving, nuking hair??" is more of a female trait, not just African females. believe me, even girls with naturally straight hair still use straighteners to get every strand even straighter.

yes there is the aspect of nice hair, but a womans' beauty does not have to be defined by her hair.......it's her personality /character that makes her a lady....even if some men love the hair long, some prefferer a neat short cut....guys....c'mon!

How can you claim a woman is beautiful when about 80% of her features are fake? eg.AA women lack natural beauty.
