Raila part of State ploy, says Kalonzo
Story by NATION Correspondents Publication Date: 9/28/2007 ODM Kenya presidential aspirant Kalonzo Musyoka yesterday said he would not play second fiddle to any of his presidential rivals. He also claimed his Orange rival Raila Odinga was a “Government project”. In an interview with the Nation from Kitui West, Mr Musyoka claimed the Government decided to back Mr Odinga on realising he (Mr Musyoka) was likely to send President Kibaki packing in the December General Election. Through doctored opinion polls, the Government decided to inflate Mr Odinga’s popularity after it realised that I would beat Kibaki hands down,” he said. “However, despite all these manipulations, I will still clinch the top seat in the coming election,” he said. Yesterday, Government spokesman Alfred Mutua scoffed at the allegations. Mr Musyoka also told off those urging him to support either Mr Kibaki or Mr Odinga. |

I doubt his sanity? He has failed to focus on any serious issues. His last serious activity took place a couple of weeks ago when he displayed his prowess in political somersault. Apart from this, he has reduced himself to I do not know.
