hapo Rwathia umedinya point. our problem is under population and under development of human resources. the education system we inherited from the brits is designed to create a large pool of semi and unskilled workers to be exploited for low wages. the solution is to therefore build more schools at all levels so that all children have access to quality primary and secondary education and ALL who wish to attend higher education have the chance to do so. This is a long term solution because obviously those adults of all ages who have been victims of the current education system cannot all go back to primary and secondary school. but as the famous saying goes... Rome was not built in a day, it will take x number of generations to lift jamhuri to a middle income country. grabbing land will not solve anything.

Procreating is OK in my opinion, it's a God mandate. "...be fruitful and multiply.."
The Only thing we, africans haven't mastered is part two of the that mandate, "...have dominion .........." And for the most part, that is the result of poor upbringing which leads to bad governance, or rather the election of bad governance. Our land laws should have been rewritten long long ago, as should have been our constitution. Instead, greedy fellaz turned a blind eye to the possible ramifications of sticking with colonial crap-law. Because as you all have so eloquently stated above, it suits them. |
