Was anyone as thrilled, especially in the diaspora, to hear a song called Kasongo in the Idi Amin - forrest whitaker movie?

Man i yearned to go for those Makuti-clubs and Nyamachoma-Tusker combination! This song used to thrill me, by a veteran Ugandan band called Afrigo.
It goes like;

Kasongo yee yee, obadibala
kasongo mwana mama, obadibala yee...

or something of the sort. Kali sana.

The dude in charge of the movie soundtrack instantly understood the bewitching effect of that song in its right setting when he saw them perform it at Club Obligato one hot night as the crowd went crazy; there was not a soul who didn’t jump up to dance!
