Hi Hinder! Yeah, I hate generalizations. These people who say heavy metal is satanic obviously have never taken the time to listen to the music without any preconceived notions. And if heavy metal is satanic then how come there exists soooo many Christian heavy metal/hard rock bands like Bloodgood, Petra, Stryper, Demonhunter, Underoath...and the list goes on and on! Sure, there are some heavy metal bands that profess to be Satanic but that does not mean all heavy metal bands/songs are satanic. Anyway, if these people want a taste of their own generalization medicine then I would say many rap/hip hop songs are satanic. Murder, Fornication, Gambling...:-) No, not all hip hop/rap is 'satanic'. And not all heavy metal is satanic.

By the way Hinder, you are very welcome to join your fellow rock fans at Kenya Rocks! kenyarocks : Kenya Rocks

I've tried listening to heavy metal, even watching some of those music videos; but most of the time I end up more spooked than entertained.

the spook is part of it. metal without the spook has a name: emo (not always accurate).
most people get used to it though.
i however have never gotten used to marylin mansons look.. *shudders*
