He died while on tour in Berlin. So sad to pass away especially when one is away from home. So sad. Zion will open its doors to him gladly as we live remembering his great music. RIP to a great soldier.

I've been listening to their WOMAD 2005 gig on BBC. Great music. Reggae won't be the same.

Greeting to all brejrins...Indeed these are the saddest times in he reggae world..to me it kinda goes deep, coz it's through Culture's messases that I really embraced reggae totally...but then again, let's not weep and mourn alot, but celebrate the life of the Late Great Joseph Hill...for he put smiles in millions' faces over the years!

For me his greatest album is the first one..Two Sevens Clash...cant stop listening to it!

Rest In Eternal Peace Joseph Hill.

One Love.

Reggae Analyst, it was Joseph Hill and NOT Dennis Brown who just passed. Dennis Brown passed away a while back on July 1, 1999.

by the way dennis brown to me is a legend too.that guy chucked lots of albums.even bob said his favourite is dennis emmanuel brown

now imagine reggae without joseph.anyway they say they will continue the tour with josepth hill son as the lead singer

My bad...grief mingi til i was rushing to a conclusion bila thinking.

Dennis Brown is also one of my favorites, he produced many great hits but I think Bob's fame overshadowed him. I think the same applies to Jacob Miller, Max Romeo, Ijahman Levi, Gregory Isaacs and Garnett Silk. So many peepz have beautified reggae lakini some music critics keep looking at the fame of Bob. Nowadays, they even dare call Sean Paul and Bounty Killer legends.

Anyway, I'm still in grief. Mighty Culture Milele!

Blessings and Jah love!

@jc
i trully agree.it pisses me off when they say sean paul and elephant man are reggae artists.yup bob fame was the cause of the break up of the wailers.honestly,in the wailers,me i like bunny wailer sana.he had a song called burial.I rate dennis brown on the same level as bob.imagine if they would have been alive,akina garnet silk,it could have been deadly.

i feel u when u say akina GI,freddy mc gregor don't get props.imagine there are some legendary jamas who don't get their respects.its trully sad.hebu niambie akina mighty diamonds,akina toots and mytals,akina mighty chalice,mutabaruka?these guys are deep.

and by the way u should check a group called mighty itals.these guys are one of my all time and are good

its sad when they die is when they remembered
