TOP 3 HIP-HOP PRODUCERS OF ALL TIME -
09-11-2005, 02:48 AM
My top 3 of all time would have 2 be
1)Dr.Dre---that goes without saying.Dre is the most important musical force in hip-hop history. From lacing N.W.A,,Snoop,Cube,Pac(before they fell out),Eminem,Xzibit,50,and most recently The Game--Nothing bangs more than a dre beat!!>
Favorite Dre beats gotta be "What's my Name"(Snoop), "Still D.R.E", "Hello"(Cube), "How we Do"(Game), "Rich Girl"(Gwen Stefani),yaani, the list is endless!!....
2)DJ Premier---Any tru hiphop head will tell u that primo is the absolute truth.i just love his real hiphop beats and how he's stuck to his style all these years.
Favorite Primo beats gotta be "Unbelievable"(B.I.G),"Boom"(Royce da 5'9"),and "Friend or Foe"(Jay-Z).Just try 2 imagine if u will,a Canibus album produced entirely by primo---classic!!
3)Kanye West--"The new version of Pete Rock" brought the soul back into hiphop with his sped-up soul samples and helped Common make "BE" a modern classic(if u haven't heard that album,or have heard it but don't like it--then i don't know what to tell you!!).College Dropout basically saved hiphop, and i haven't heard late registration yet,but i'm sure it's gonna be another classic from the "louis vuitton don".
Favorite K.West beats: everything he did on "Blueprint"(him and jay make amazing stuff),"Guess who's Back"(Scarface) and "The Corner"(Common).

ha ha ha this is interesting looks like hip hop heads think alike. I looked at the title of the thread and even before opening it guess who came to mind! Dr Dre and DJ Premier :D lol.
So my picks are
1. Dr Dre
2. Dj Premier
To make things interesting
3. The Bomb Squad

First am a state am one of the dopest rap funs in kenya. with a 2,500 collection of rap of which a 1,000 is straight under I must have a say in this
So here are ma of 'of the meter' producers
Dr. Dre, has done albums by pac, NWA, Snoop, EM
Bomb Squad, Has done albums by P.E, Ice Cube etc
Jam Master Jay, A legend. Run DMC, P.E
Alchemist, Has Done trax for Nas, now he is Em's Dj
Dj Premier, Has done trax 4 Nas, Jay Z, Jeru, BIG etc
Scot La Rock, Krs One's partner in BDP
RZA, Of the Wu Tang
Eric B, Rakim's DJ very dope beat
Doug E Fresh, Best human beat box done trax 4 Nas,Slick Rick etc
Daz Dilliger, Worked on Snoop's, Pac's album, DPG,
Large Professor, Big Daddy Kane,A Tribe Called Quest, Nas, Rakim
Prince Paul, BDP, Gravediggaz, MC Lyte, Big Daddy Kane
I cant list all I got many that I respect. Kanye 4 me doesnt lie in that class that I have listed I aint sayin he is wack but he aint a legend yet. But I love the work he did on Common's album. He is also workin on L. Hill's return album. Timba is kool to but not big enough so is Jermaine Dupri and Swizz Beatz. But those I listed there have done rap's best albums of all time.
