FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(ORLANDO, FL) – March 16, 2005 – Vada Nobles, the multi-platinum international super-producer, has been coined, “the man behind the miseducation,” for his work with Lauryn Hill. Nobles has been heralded as the main producer on the groundbreaking album, “Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” a monumental record which sold over 16 million copies worldwide and won five Grammy Awards, three American Music Awards, a Billboard Award, a Soul Train Award, and an MTV Music Award. Now this critically acclaimed producer is gearing up to pair with hip-hop icon and industry heavyweight, Jay-Z, and others to put forth the hottest new music sensation in recent years.

Nobles’ current undertaking is the Def Jam (now headed by Jay-Z) family’s newest addition, a 16-year old, Barbados-based soulful sensation named Rihanna, who Nobles claims, “is a young superstar on the rise!”

Rihanna radiantly performed in Def Jam’s office for a handful of music moguls including Jay-Z, L.A. Reid, Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken. The story of her signing will go down in history as one of those magical moments that almost sounds like a fairytale. However, this is real, as the Def Jam staff decided they didn’t want Rihanna to leave the building until they had her signed to this powerhouse label. Def Jam called in both their legal team and the artist’s attorney to work out a deal, literally right there on the spot. This historical deal is rumored to be one of the largest deals ever signed by an “up-and-coming artist.” As one Def Jam employee put it, “[Rihanna] got a ‘LeBron James’ deal.” So the contracts were signed at approximately 3:30 am, as no one was permitted to leave the building until the deal had been finalized. The entire process was a feat almost unheard of in the music business.

Rihanna could have stirred up a serious bidding war, as Sony and about five other major record labels were courting her, but it was Def Jam that was relentless to get this deal done…and in one long, special night it was.

Vada Nobles comments, “It’s a privilege to be working with Jay-Z, L.A. Reid, and Sturken and Rogers who are such talented people with great musical appetite, passion, and determination to bring forth a promising superstar such as Rihanna.”

Rihanna is certainly in good hands; aside from the success earned from Lauryn Hill, Nobles has also produced such prominent artists as Aretha Franklin, Faith Evans, CeCe Winans, LL Cool J and Slick Rick, among many other legendary superstars that literally span the globe.

Rihanna’s first single is called, “Pon de Replay,” produced by Nobles which will be released to radio stations in upcoming weeks, prior to which Rihanna will be embarking on a promotional tour all across the United States. Paralleling the massive demand for the future star Rihanna, Vada Nobles’ production is being heavily sought out. He is esteemed to have single-handedly changed the sound of modern music as we know it.

So with all these stars aligned, I guess this story proves that dreams really do come true after all…
