They let some shyt go , I might cop a good qual. bootleg and life goes on . 4 bootlegs down the line I pick the only two good songs they have in they sorry 16+ track cds and make a compilation cd. Call it what you want.I call it musical karma.Only a select few get to eat of my shyt for real and so as you can guess I heard the new Nas first through bootleg . Shyt is off the mofkng chunkers.I wasn't really messing with dude at all, but after listening to the whole album i got a few choice words to say.

only joint not feeling the busta jump-off...nazareth savage is just growing on me....'MESSAGE TO FEDS'IS ANOTHER LEVEL KINDA TRACK. Other than that tracks range from SOLID to GREAT. Then some "chump change" rapper has the nerve to think he can even smell dude's level but thats some chit for another day

coped that double joint the other day. basically, none of these cats got 'more styles than son do'. love the consciousness lacing the album. nice songs that i am going to be bumping when i am old. might sing that lovely daughter song to my seed if i ever have one. stylistically, dude is just doing him. the beats are alien and not trying to conform to any of these ish on radio and MTV. i love the way he experiments with different styles as the case in the Olu Dara collabo and another joint (forgot the name) that switches into a reggae beat when this lady voice kicks in. what about Live Now...that's creativity to the fullest, a kind of saddening narrative but they are spitting ish that could happen, makes a ni-a pause for a second and be like...aiight, i might be gone the next minute so let me get what i can while i am still breathing.

i give it a 4.5/5.0 mics.

'War' - bump this on christmas morning..luv the Sinatra sound

'Suicide Bounce' - a level lower but the beat is UNTOUCHABLE..lookin like the next single

'Virgo' - fighting to be the next single

'Message to the feds' - whooshh!!..shyt must have been recorded in Pluto

Thats nas's alter ego scarlett.."she" is in 'sekou story' too which another great track

Damn right . I think sekou's story , live now and suicide bounce are some of the best songs on that double disc . The whole thing was so cohesive it hurts . It takes you back to a 70s groove withot annoying you . Nas stands out here as a thouroghbred Mc . He has enough faith in his own message , production and flow that I don't know most of the producers on the tracks.Making of a perfect byath is fluckin nuts( boy got issues )Just for a moment is hands down the nicest song on the double cd.
