Default HBO - 02-09-2004, 08:09 AM

I was going to start a post singing the praises of "Angels in America" which aired here over the weekend and is the BEST thing I've seen on telly in a while.... but then I discovered its a masterpiece by HBO who have also given us top telly in the forms of "Six Feet Under", "SATC", "The Sopranos".... geez!!
This channel has really pushed the boundaries of television - I wish I was in the US, then id get cable just for HBO...

LOL! Heathcliff!

You should watch Channel 4 more regular to see TV boundaries being thoroughly tested....

But seriously, next time I hear about Angels of America (LOL!), I'll go mad....

No....I ain't gonna discuss Angels of America....LOL! I've already had enough about it....

Learnt a new word though for the brief kedo 10 mins I watched it...Sodomite, referring to a gay person....

As for Get me outta here...I think Jenny Bond may have issues retaining her job as the royal correspondent after referring to the queen as Ms. Thing with her shaved *******....LOL!

Three words: Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Larry David, genius. Jeff Garlin, hilarious. Everyone in that show is PERFECTLY cast which isn't easy. It's unscripted so there's no time for half baked talent. You've got to have ballz to do this show. It is without a doubt the funniest most original show i have ever watched on tv. The only thing that comes close is BBC's The Office. My fav character is Tim and i like Gareth also coz he's so deluded. David Brent is just Hilarious, absolutely hilarious. I have truly seen the best that Tv can offer.

Heathcliff i sh1t you not...go watch Curb Your Enthusiasm...it will not disappoint. The only difference is that it takes maybe two or three episodes to get the comedic premise of the show and from that point on it's all systems go. It took a couple of episodes for me anyway i don't know about you. Also it depends on what kind of a person you are. If you are dry witted and sarcastic kind of guy and appreciate quirky humour(which you must be if you like The Office) then you'll laugh your ass off. If your favourite sitcom is 'just shoot me' or 'friends' or all those other comedy-lite shows then you will be itching for the remote.

Another thing i like about Curb and Office is the abscence of a laugh track, something i despise greatly. You have to figure out the jokes for yourself. So it's cerebral and therapeutic at the same time. Listen to me gushing...anyway heathcliff just start Tivoing that sh1t ASAP.
