TEARS OF THE SUN -

I just wanted to say that this film is a yawn. It is nothing but the continuation of the myth of the "dark continent" as set out by Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness." The movie is literally shot in the dark, one leaves the theatre with the view that Africa is indeed a dark, brutal continent. The plot is an insidious blend of myth and fallacy meant to propel white virtue at the expense of the hapless natives. Yes the atrocities are based on fact but no the US couldn't care less. The only positive thing, is that the movie gives a toned down graphic depiction of the atrocities perpetuated incessantly in many African countries. Perhaps now people here can see for themselves that the problems of Africa are real. Nonetheless, the movie is a must for anyone interested in myth and reconfiguration of myths of the "Dark Continent."
P.S - the good Dr. Kendrick's boobs are all over the place and they are nice, yes indeed.
Thai - gacaja.
