I have never understood why people bury/throw away so much money anyway. Some funerals cost as much as a wedding!!!! Plain stupid!

As for me am being cremated (in kenya just to give my family a chance to say goodbye) and am saving up the money that should be used in my funeral.Very little!!! Ohh and am writing a will of the exact procedure to be followed!

@Talula,

Sasa? Just curious; assuming you kufa majuuz (I am not wishing for your death pliz, just using u as an example) won't they transport you in a casket, which will cost money? If your intention is to save money, then the cremation has to be done majuuz since the urn, as opposed to the casket, is cheaper to transport, ama? You can even use DHL yawa! Once you land here, your relaz will never allow you to be cremated anyway, will or not! They will be like, hatumchomi kama Mhindi, hiyo siyo kimila!

Holla!

Haven't thought of that one Bondo but if am transported in a casket then it will definately be a cheap one jua kali style. Maybe I should even make one myself now... no more than 20 euro worth...hmmm gotta think of this one....

why should the relas refuse to honor my will? I mean with most of them believing in being haunted they will probably honour my dying wishes with pleasure.

They will feel more haunted by your spirit that is on fire everyday coming to ask them why. African Kenyans dont cremate, as burning the body also burns the spirit. That is why Kisiis were chomaing the warogiz there, so that even their spirits cannot come to kimbiza them baadayez!

Holla!

Talula...the 'box' used by airlines is a standard size (for adults) and costs the same regardless. Its specifically made and treated to transport bodies - it's plain and there is no room for selection of a cheap one or a fancy one..so u dont get to choose the casket you get to be transported in. Think that one through again...Maybe what you should consider is the airline instead....one that charges less for cargo..
