Default SMS Woes - 10-07-2008, 02:51 AM
Last week and during the weekend I sent a number of sms’s from my fone to buds in the US and Europe, shortly after, drama started, it seems all my sms’s were either diverted or misdirected by Safcom and Celtel (supposition), because I have received rude replies from various European numbers (all strange to me), all to do with (and using strong wordings) I should check my numbers as I send messages. Am sure am coming across as a spammer to a few.

Then one of my friends replied to the Safcom line, and today I received the 3 sms’s sent for the 35th time, Last time that happened, when I made a call from my number to my buds it stopped, but my safcom line had ‘sotad’ over the weekend.

I did not give much thought about it, until one of my friends told me the same thing has happened to her, and she is in the US, she’s receiving all kids of sms’s, ati some even in maasai (am assuming they were all from Kenya)

Now that sms’s are going to the wrong recipients, I think you should censor content on them,

Anybody else experiencing this?

Check your mail. I am not even going to post my words on this one.

Grip can vouch for me that I just asked him about this same issue on Friday.

I keep sending messages to Safaricom and Zain numbers and they don't get delivered. What the hell's going on over there???

Hata ukiwa Kenya.. you send sms from safcom to Zain and they r not delivered...... is it anything to do with the "peculiar" habits of Kenyans as Michael Josef would say, or is it the netwroks that are becoming peculiar?

Alja,

The other thing we are talking about is we are getting sms from unknown people. Random messages around the world...as crazy as that sounds.

Algeria, Nigeria, TZ, Kenya (TZ and Kenya are around the world to me)

I don't have that phone service so I don't know why that problem would effect my AT&T phone service.

I don't even think that phone service is in the US...never heard of it except on here.

I find it strange, very strange.....

A close pal has been receiving such messages and from him, I guess he said they started as promotions or something similar to those emails which inform you have millions or you have been bequethed millions! All along I thought my pal was receiving such sms coz he may have responded to one... but it looks like he is having same prob as you guys.

Is he in America?

I think it came from something with the computer too....

I never open spam.
