@sugarNspice, you realy have to learn SWA! Some of us can't manage a complete sentence without a word of SWA!
The statement by @nyira, I guess is what you are asking to be translated. The animals mentioned are their transport, and the night runners use them.... what I seem not understand is whether when you encounter the nightrunner and the animals you will have to be carried or carry them?? @nyira... shed some more light here... and for the sake of our non-SWA sis, do it in Enlish!

Alga, I got the rest of the info for us from my night running advisor. I am lmao and have to see this for real. Some night runners train the animals and run with them. They run with the hippos at lake victoria. The runners don't run with the animals to your house. You may see the night runners with snakes though. The night runner runs naked and sometimes a whole family will run together....Lol. The night runner can bang on your window and then come back a half an hour later doing the same throughout. the govt doesn't do anything about the runners so the community takes it in their own hands to deal with it.

Alja!
That info about them training and running with animal is even more scary! I hope they have no crocodiles in their area.. otherwise I would want someone banging on my window atop a crocodile!
And yeah, if there are no laws against it, I would do the same.... take care of the night runner during the day (not at night!!).

Sorry, for my typo...Alja. They train
with the crocodiles too. Only in the water. They don't take them to the houses...no worries.
I have to go to Kisii to see this...Lol. Btw did you tell chipo to finish the dream??? Since you guys share a computer, I thought you could pass the message

No worry about the typo!
I guess I should join you when u r off to Kisii... just to see the fun of people riding on crocs!!
Someone had misread the "Busted list" or misinterpreted it. Chipo is somewhere in Europe or US, and I only operate across two continents - Africa (specifically Kenya) and Asia.
Coz Chipo is online, I will make sure I pass the message.

Sorry for the confusion with you and chipo being the same.
Your in Asia...cool Do you tell the country? I was just curious.
What does Alja mean anyway since I got yelled at for the mispelling...lol.
Oh, and I had to tell you that last night I had a nightmare about this whole night runner thing. My neighbors were doing work in their house this morning, and there was a lot of banging. The banging woke me up, I thought it was a night runner banging...lol
That is my punishment for laughing at them, I guess

LOL I cant believe this thread has been reduced to gossip.
FYI:
There is no such thing as riding crocodiles. That is a myth. There are no crocodiles in kisii.
The use of animals for transportation is largely a myth. There used to be a rumor that these animals were kept in irongo (ceiling of a kitchen). That's utter nonsense. The only animal with credibility is the snake as that can be kept somewhere secretly very easily.
Nightrunners and witches are different. One can be both or either one. A nightrunner is mostly interested in instilling fear by terrorizing someone at night. A witch is more interested in killing or sickening someone, usually out of jealousy. Most witches are however nightrunners at the same time.
I used to have a nightrunner come to my hut and walk on the verandah, hit the walls, roof and etc at night. He/she never did me any harm.
I also had a witch experience one day when I was studying with a friend of mine for KCPE. There was a strong blow of wind outside the house that was not the natural wind. Suddenly the lamp popped three to five times and went dead. My hut was made from plywood and so wind wouldnt have been the cause as the lamp can still function outside in windy conditions . We tried to lit it to no avail. But we got the message and went to sleep. The following evening the same lamp was lighting normally...but I stopped reading past 10pm. Obviously the person didnt want me to study lest I pass my exams.

I was told the crocodiles and hippos are in Luo Land in Lake Victoria. They don't ride them. They train with them????
I have no idea. It is what my friend who is Kisii told me. I was just passing the info.
Yes and they said night runners, witches and witch doctors are all different things.
