Educative message scarce in modern music

Contemporary music in kenya especially coming from the new generation is profoundly void of educative messages.Most of them sing about sexual pleasures,drinking,spending moneyand having a good time.

At a time when the country is going through a difficult transition,may be the musicians should adopt a more realistic approach to their lyrics and educate kenyans about living together in love,healing and forgiving eachother,saving money for investment,and caution about the AIDS scourge.

They( musicians ) are only following on the footsteps of the west. Rem pple like 2-PAC and Lennon. Those words that thrills does very little with education. We have songs like Adhiambo Sianda... that are very explicit. And we seem to like it. TOO BAD
