Default What are your "Kenyan" values? - 04-16-2008, 04:52 PM

As a Kenyan, what values do you find defining you?

Me:
Personal Integrity.
Religious coexistance and freedom. (ie Tolerance)
I do not like Corrupt people.
Family is important

I know this is rather vague. Lakini wakenya there has to be some principles you get as a kenyan.

Nice question, coincidentally i was thinking about it earlier today. I think for me the most Kenyan thing about me is my ability to survive and be resilient in the face of undue pressure or stress at work and in school.

The poster was talking about values and value systems, not how you handle stress. Values are intangibles.

I already wrote resilience, hio imetosha

Main Entry: re·sil·ience

1 : the capability of a strained body to recover its size and shape after deformation caused especially by compressive stress

2 : an ability to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change
