...as a young kikuyu boy i grew up in busia district, almost all my friends were from other tribes,as we played child games, sitting by the roadside counting passing cars saying "hiyo yangu hiyo yako"!they would as a joke say that i was lucky i was a kyuk, when i grow up i would just go to the city rob a bank and come back as a rich man!For them their future was to buy a bicycle manage to build a thatched house and get a wife!see though we grew up at the same neighbourhood we had different thoughts,as they thought of the cheap life,in my young brain i converted everything i saw to cash, thinking of how i will be a successful businessman.
To this day i brave the chili winter working as hard which makes me wonder why people always give all the credibility to our leaders, saying i am rich coz the prezo is from my tribe! The buildings i have, the car i drive, the money in the bank is mine, how the hell did kibaki help me to get it?This goes to almost 90% of kyuks coz we have guts,we take the risks so why the hate?that piece of land in western or in r.valley u sold it to me,coz u needed the cash and i the land,u kept it in the bank, used it to marry the fifth wife, pay dowry or whatever that u did to spend it,why blame me?
i am whatever u say i am!if i was'nt then y would i say i am???
