Still on Ugandan accents, the way every word with a C in the middle is pronounced as CH eg. calculator becomes Calichulator and clothes is pronounced Clothees where the 'e' isn't silent and pronounced like the 'e' in the word bed.

Lol!! That was a trip. I haven't been home in a long time, but it's always refreshing to listen to just-arrived kenyans speak, makes me home sick like crazy. I have a kyuk boy of mine, cool as hell- he's my hommie. But brotha could shred the Rs and Ls in his sentenses vibaya, especially words like these;
Resinesi (laziness), klook (crook), etc... there's this word he could say that always had me rolling on the floor.
And about Ugandans, I think it's the letter K that begins in a sentens that's replaced with the ch. I lived in a town just outside Kampala called Kireka, but they called it Chireka... I think this tendency extends to my Luhya brethren as well. Man- I love the diversity we have. We need to stop this tribal stupidity we're hemmed up in now and enjoy each other instead.
Oh- and PS, Japanese sound just like kyuks when speaking english. The Rs and Ls be twisted like a mutha$%&@!
Dynamic.

chemical I choose to disagree, this is more stacato "s" is more hissed and these sounds almost like its "s" and "z" combined.
Its actually southerners who dont use the 'a' appropriately, East Africans dont confuse 'a' and 'e' as you say, - had as hed, fax as fex,
Najivunia Kuwa Mkenya
Am harvesting to be a Kenyan

disagree as you have the right to do...lakini we are all discussing vowel sounds...being wrongly pronounced and i just pointed out the log in our collective eye....
you cant pronounce i as e then blame consonant s.... lol
I can see where you would get the z sound...because you are pronouncing the e that comes after the s....but there is no excuse to transpose the pronunciations of those two words as kenyans do freely...
