Thats an interesting observation. But how did/do the Oman's learn swahili? I thought Swa was a fusion of Bantu languages and Arabic and primarily an E.African language. How did it get to Oman?

this reminds me of a certain incident way back... i was with my aunt in the supermarket, we see this fly hot-looking jamaa and we start analysing him, lol, we are like 'look at that cute face, and that nice ass, and those sexy lips' and we go on to say what we'd do wit him if we patad him... yani tulimkagua juu chini for like 20 mins tukimfwata. wacha he turns and says hi to us in my mother tongue and was like im from here nd here.. wat abt u guys? yani he was from the same same place where i come from. aki i felt like id literally run!!!! altho we wasnt analysing him kwa ubaya, bana we were admiring God's creation ... i learnt my lesson

Actually I made enquiries.....
Many Omanis hv mixed bloodlines. From the times in history when Sultan of Oman was also the Ruler of Zanzibar n Pemba, majority of Oman Nationals have blood relations who are Tanzanian (Zanzibari & Mainland TZ) Nationals. These two nationalities easily move between the two states and their immigration rules favour free and easy naturalization. Many hold dual nationalities. Thus the "shared" language. Even Zanzibaris speak Arabic easily... Thus.....
