Its how there seems to be a difficulty in telling the difference in the use of the word "this" and "these"? I've even seen the mistake being made by Kenyan journalists...que pasa?

Super liar, if your pronounciation teacher did not teach you how to differentiate the two, then ka hivyo hivyo na mungu akubariki.

This - The 'Th' is short same as for the 'i'. The 's' is pronounced as it is. Emphasis is on the singularity

These - the 'Th' drags more than the same in 'this' to empahsis the plurality, the 's' sounds close to 'z'

probo with having antinyita for lunch...I refer to our kenyan accent when i say "Its how we do, my guy LOL!" but since i have to spend an extra moment with the slow ones...you will find that..

a word is divided into syllables, thats how you pronounce it...and both those words are mono-syllabic words...

lmao @ chotadipo claiming to pronounce fractions of syllables...hahahaha

get hooked on phonetics my guy, "this" guys might help you http://www.uiowa.edu/~acadtech/phonetics/ LOL!

Speaking of journalists... cheki this paragraph from todays pulse in the Standard

****

"As much as we have been headlining shows, I must admit that we have not made money as perceived by the public and portrayed by some section of the media," he says. "All we have is a vast local and international profile and we are yet to earn meaningfully income from THIS shows."

****

If I even attempt to say anything, Mitchie Mitch will tokea hapa from nowhere and claim I am doing too much critiques on people's posts and threads as if I am a P1 teacher. So no sweat this time around.
