Default my life`abroad - 06-13-2006, 06:05 AM

My friend was living with me after arriving in Kenya during winter time. One day I collected all the washing to take to the laundry. When my friend saw me taking the bed ####s he asked with a worried face what we would sleep on as "they would not get dry". I told him not to worry. When we went to the laundry and he saw the wet washed clothes drying in the tumble drier, he was shocked beyond words. He asked me how much the machine costs to take to Kenya. I just laughed. Today the guy is running a launderette in Kenya. For More stories click here http://www.hakunamatata.org.uk/mylifeabroad.htm

Checked out your site, it's aait but you need an editor. Your stories read like direct translations from venacular. Funny but tough to read to picky pple, too many grammatical errors. Constructive criticism ;).

I will never forget the day we were lost for 6 hours and at one moment stopped to buy a Bible and pray. It was hell on earth. The place we were going was a 45 minutes drive but being new in England with no sense of direction probably headed the opposite way. In the end we resolved that better late than never but we had to get there as it was a party. So we abandoned our car and took a bus promising not to tell anyone of our ordeal lest they laugh at us. For the first time we saw a ferry in London and we thought we were miles away. I remember at one time when we asked a petrol attendant the direction and he told us that we were only 10 minutes away but drove on for and hour! to where he had described. Coming back to collect the car: we got lost as well but not as much as with the car. Today I can tell you that we were circling a 12 miles radius. If we were in Kenya the six hours we were lost is equivalent from driving from NAIROBI TO MOMBASA!

Huh?? This right here made no sense.
