if someone ate food that is poluted by 10ml of blood that contains HIV WILL HE BE INFECTED?

Hey Bassam that’s a funny question but valid for the less privileged with knowledge.
The HIV is a very weak virus, it only survive intra cellular in a white living cell, meaning it dies immediately the host dies, it takes a proximately ten minutes for the virus to die outside human body in what the virus perceive as a “harsh environment”….so remember intracellular and in a white living cell…..got it!

Precaution is a must when body fluids have been transfered regardless of the magnitude. This is what health care workers are prescribed for even when they come into contact with mucus membranes or nonintact skin for a short duration. There is need to check with a physician.

Zidovudine(Retrovir) 600 mg in divided in 2,3 or 4 doses.
Lamivudine(Epivir) 150 mg twice
Continue both medications for 4 weeks.
