Default kenyan vs american justice systems - 12-04-2005, 11:00 PM

in kenya you find judgez being business parners with some of the accused.and which among you thot pattni would be put in the same jail az the day to day kauzi's of nairobi?msee alikuwa nasoma gazzetti sipping on coffee every morning.

and who doubts biwott had something to do with ouko's murder.or the mafia don himself, kenyatta, personally came up withthe ploy to smoke JM kariuki and mboya.and moi plundered an economy that waz at par with singapore in its hey day.kenya's economy iz f8cked up but we still comprise of over 60% of east africa's economy and wealth .i mean when you put together uganda, tanzania and rwanda, they only take up a third of the economy, the rest iz kenya.

but our justice system iz funny and flawed.pple get 10 years for stealing cows and others get acquitted even after blatantly shooting a game warden.but which iz more ludicrous, american justice or kenyan justice?

in the tates, for you to be convicted, you must have an IQ of over 80.before the kill you on death sentence, they send in a doctor to check your health.make sure youre perfectly healthy before the electrocute you.how about that, you have to be healthy enuff to be killed!

it gets more bizzare, you have to be sane to be executed coz if youre mad, then you wont undestand the full nature of your punishment thus exectuion serves no purpose.tehehehehe.....az if if on a sane mind, you'd be alive to derive lessons from your punishment.

but im opposed to the death sentence.here in australia, the country haz been mourning over this dude waz hanged in singapore on friday coz of smuggling drugz.i kinda feel sory for him -you know, the poor lad made hiz own funeral arrangements etc,but he also knew asia iz a no go zone when it comes to drugz.its suicide.

anywayz,at least us kenyans dont execute.in my opinion, american justice system iz more f8cked up than the kenyan one.

I have to agree with you. The justice sytem in Kenya can be bought if your pockets run deep or are well connected. We have this mentality on our culture that a person of high social standing should not be made to pay for his/ her sins. Thats why you find its easy for someone like Pattni to get preferential treatment while incarcerated while the rest of the so called "riff-ruff" get the regular prison treatment.

The American justice system has its flaws too. If you have deep pockets then you can almost get away with any crime, if you cover your tracks well. One classic case is OJ. The man was as guilty as sin, yet the best criminal attorney in the country the late Johnny Cockrin managed to cloud the evidence surrounding the case to his client's advantage.

Capital purnishment is still a big issue in this country, and just FYI, they do not electrocute guys anymore. They try to find more "humane" ways to kill you, such as lethal injection. In my opinion, killing is killing, whether its suicide, in state hands, or in the hands of a murderer.

What? I thought Kenya had a hangman ama? Wasn't there a whole newpapaer issue some few yrs back dedicated to this person? I didn't know the law had changed and we don't have the Death penalty no more?
I thought we still did only Kenya makes you wait some 20 something + yrs on death row first which is cruel in itself.
