Default Why Do Kenyans from Abroad Live in Their Paros Hse? - 10-03-2002, 05:35 PM

Is this me or this is the reality that a Kenyan who grew up in Gigiri, Runda, etc will go abroad, study, and go back home to live in the same crib they grew-up in. I find this disgusting as there is no sense of accomplishment let alone maturity in these Kenyans.

After your parents use their hard earned $ to pay for ur school fees, the least u can do is get ur arse out of their home and start ur own life. Sad thing is that most of these Kenyans are like 25 and above yrs old. These are men and women who do get married in their paros home--, forcing their poor parents to go retire in Shags.

You have contributed to the misery of ur parents as they worked hard to make sure you got a good start in life only for u to turn out to be a hyena-monster who never leave them alone. Did you stop to think that may be, your paros would like some quality tyme without thinking about ur arse. Give them a break--!!!

Pointing an embittered finger at some else??? does that make ur life or the lives of those in the predicament better? have u been in the shoes of those you so truly state that you loathe?? u done any better since having been in their shoes? do U show maturity by stating ur views with such arrogance??
live and let live!! watch your eyes lest they got a bigger log than your neighbor's.

Hush et al:
What is your parent's is theirs when ur arse turn 18.. This thing of spoilt brat-Kenyans depending on their desperate parents until death do them part belongs to dark ages. The reason Kenya is not developing is because pple like u use resources they cannot produce. If you work ur way thru life and achieved beyond ur parents', then, collectively our generation would be a prosperous one. Idiots still put their panties in the laundry bag for the maid to wash! yak e mbere!

tinga, think of it this way .. some parents insist that their children continue staying with them because of the unending support that they give 'em .. while some parents cant wait to get rid of you cuz of the burden that you've turned out to be .. so where do you fall??

In history Yisrael were enslaved in Egypt. Many people have compared this enslavement with diaspora life. I believe that this comparison is founded in the current U.S/UK.
Slavery in Egypt was not chattel slavery as was practiced in America. Instead Yisrael had to complete work quotas. We see in the Perasha that Pharo first appointed tax officers to get them to work hard for the building of the State. The express purpose of this was to oppress Yisrael so that they would not have the energy to rebel. No individual was owned by any other individual other then Pharo who could run everyone's lives.

In modern society we are kept too busy to think about where we are going and what we should stand for. Even if we do express a desire to free ourselves we are oppressed by materialism. It is almost impossible to free yourself from the slavery imposed by certain organizations which are larger than many Governments.

The earlier you free yourself the easier. Once you are weighted by debts incurred by taking advantage of "The American Dream" it is very difficult especially if you make a moderate salary.

When you make a moderate salary and need to pay many thousands of dollars for health insurance, car insurance, credit cards, and anything else you must pay a lot for you are indeed enslaved just like Yisrael were. Slavery being accepted as having to work many hours to pay off interest payments of debt. Be rest assured that many of the companies you owe money to are very happy to see you squirm at the pressure they apply.
