Subject: MURANGA LIBIDO WAR RAGES ...
CENTRAL PROVINCE
2 anti-illicit brews protesters injured
By Joseph Murimi
Two people were injured when a group of about 150 women demonstrating
against illicit brews raided dens at Mukurwei-ini in Nyeri District.
The injured women had stormed the home of a brewer at Karaba Market
in Mukurwe-ini on Monday when they were repulsed by the owner and
some men who were taking the brews.
The women carrying twigs and rungus had vowed to set on fire any
illicit brew den they came across, saying the brews had destroyed
their husbands and sons.
Police led by the Nyeri OCPD, Mr Elijah Shamala, moved in swiftly
before the situation deteriorated and arrested at least five people.
Trouble began at around 3 pm when irate women from the neighbouring
Murang'a District crossed the border to Nyeri allegedly to flush out
their men and sons from the dens.
The women said by destroying the dens and holding demonstrations,
they had successfully pushed illicit brews out of their district but
the brewers had moved to Mukurwei-ini in Nyeri.
They claimed their men had also migrated and vanished from home and
that they will not rest until they rid the area of illicit brews.
They accused the provincial administration of abetting the vice by
accepting protection fees from the brewers who went on with their
business.
The OCPD said two women were injured during the demonstrations when
they raided a den at Karaba trading centre.
He said they arrested five suspects who will be taken to court as
soon as investigations are complete.
Shamala, who addressed the demonstrators, told them not to take the
law into their hands and instead report such incidents to the
relevant authorities.

grip, @!**@, huc, grip @@***^!*, huc, huc "Hata waki zima taa, bado tutakunywa." Remember that. One may ask himself, why women are going to such lengths tu***uza brewers.
*Well some seem to want to save their husbands from turning into alcoholics.
*Others are financially insecure. *Others aint getting fuqked right. *Others don't want their kids brought up by drunkards. *Others want more from their husbands e.g. romeo and juliet kinda crap but most of them are chasing the wind trying to grab it.
Let me enlighten you. You go into a boxing ring to fight tyson and he knocks the shiiit out of you. You go the second time and he repeats the bout. You go again and again and he'll always kick the shiiit outta ya. Thats how full blown alcoholics get their brains and bodies damaged when they go drink that hard stuff. They drink it and they are knocked out (blackout) and then in the morning one goes back for the same. My point is: no matter how booze hurts one, one seems to be attached to it more. Kwanini? Read more about alcoholism as a disease and you'll jua.
Ladies in this house, what would you do in such a situation?

all over here saying how they are God's gift to Kenya.
useless theives, drunkards, con men, etc.
the next revolution in kenya will be in central province and it will not be political.
it will be social, that of bright and hardworking kyuk women taking over their housegolds from tirbalists good for nothing kyuk men.
that is why kyuk women in droves are marrying other tribes.
this revolutions which started from Kiambu and then Nyeri and then now Muranga need to continue until the kyuk men discovers that kenya is not defacating ground for all their evils.
they should be added to the global cultrual axis of evil.

Kikuyu women leading a national movement -
02-27-2002, 04:23 PM
Tetemeko
As far as I remember drinking of illicit brews is a problem in all of Kenya and across the tribal spectra.
So it should tell you something that Kikuyu women are willing to fight the scourge of illicit brew traders and not ashamed to stand and affirm their sexuality in public where others would consider it taboo.
So what you are seeing is only unique in that it is these Kikuyu women spear heading an agitation that will soon become national.
Perhaps, you need to distribute the article to your tribal village women to get them to wake up and protest.

Vicki, you're right on that one. But still, most of them are chasing the wind.

I fully support the women and their actions.
These are their husbands
There are their children's fathers
They should be providing for them instead of drinking away whatever little they can milk out of the economy.
A woman needs a man to run a home. There are discipline issues and words of advice that can only be effectively given by fathers.
These drunk men may sleep around and bring death in the form of AIDS to their wives.
These women have both the right and the moral obligation to protest and do something about the illicit brew, and their wayward husbands!

LOL @ MTT for looking for consolation from other tribes. I don't hear my luhya men dropping dead from busaa. And Luhya women haven't had to storm the police stations to demand for sex either! That is because our men know how to take care of them selves and their women - perhaps too, we understand the art of making good, healthy beer and posses the common sense to know better than to drink formaldehyde and all the other chemicals Kikuyus add to their beer. Face it MTT if Kikuyu men could control themselves better you wouldn't be having this problem. So please don't expect us to help fight your self - inflicted wars. We have our own problems to deal with.
