Supuu,

This is normal behavior even in Kenyan universities. Every time freshers arrive on campus, guys are ready to pounce on them. In the process they discard the now Tired Second Years (TSYs) and Tired Third Years (TTYs) and Finished Fourth Years (FFYs) who were the freshers of yesterday.

The TSYs and TTYs are unhappy about the player-fresher affairs for 2 reasons:

1. The players are leaving them for younger, fresher women.

2. They are concerned that their younger sisters are falling into the same trap they went through.

My experience is that freshers do not take advice from their older sisters. Why don't they?:

1.The freshers figure that the TTYs and TSYs must be jealous of the attention these "fine" men are paying the freshers.

2.The freshers feel like they are on top of the world and they know it all until it's too late.

My advice to Supuu:

1. Don't be in a rush to get into anything yet. Give yourself some time to know the territory before you get your fingers burnt.

2. The women giving you a cold shoulder are not the kind of friends you need. Expand your social circle and you'll be sure to meet some quality people worthy of you friendship.
