If you were a Moi Uni student in '91 then you might remember setting our cars on fire and stoning our house. Otherwise Eldoret was the worst place on earth to live in.

I beg to difer! i lived in Eld for many years and loved it, i still do! I had to really tear myself from it when it came time to leave. I still think its the only place in Kenya for me. Oh, BTW i was Nairobi born and bred and i dont think i could ever compare those 2 towns on the same scale! University students are not any reflection of the local community they find there, are they?

hehehe Sparkles!! I had my 15th b'day there. The memories. Wasn't allowed to booze so everyone kept buying me fanta. I was sick as a parrot and got a nasty allergic reaction. Not touched Fanta since then.

I am also the proud owner of red v-neck Sparkles jumper.

As for Oasis, they used to have a kiddies disco every Sunday afternoon (or was it Saturday) and it was so exciting for us to dance on the dancefloor with those lights that went round. Made you dizzy as hell. I felt so grown up leaving a heng at 5:30pm!! LOL

Went to LD in Dec, Sparkles in no more. I think it is Sams that's there.

I miss LD spent three yrs there and had some amazing times. I remember having my hair done at Joy Beauty every weekend.

I lived in Eld from 88-94 and it really sucked. At one point Hawai was the only heng until dull places like sparkles arrived. Students even prefered to travel to Naks or Kisumu for the heng.
When I was back home last year I travelled to Eld and the only difference was that Barngetuny plaza is complete.
