Hi Saifu. I was in Valley Road and would have cleared in '97 but I left in Form 3. Which class were you in?

I think there is a neighbor of mine who was there in 97. Shannon Karanja is the name.

Hi Notty. So you cleared with kina Jennifer Ndiho's group. I probably know you then.

I think I was in 3 but I'm not too sure. Anyway, I was in the class with kina Letty. I had serious issues with this school, like how they would go through our stuff looking for novels, movies, clothes, while we were standing outside like prisoners being searched for contraband. But why lie, there were some v v v interesting people there and some of the friends I made are my friends for life. I remember that big saga that started getting people in trouble for being seen at the hang. And the way Akivaga said that after school we were not to be picked up by 'boys' but only by our parents and we were not to spend any part of our holidays hanging out at Yaya. But there were alot of fun times there and the people (i.e. classmates, not teachers) were the best. Even though I had left 2 years before, the Valley Road prom was the one I attended, not the one for the school I had gone to. Whoever organized that did a really great job cause that was one excellent party.

You were in Letty's class???!!!!! So was I! Now I'm racking my brain trying to remember who left in form 3. Yes I remember the Akivaga sagas. And Kiboro with that nest on her head . . .yani that was the most horrible weave I had ever seen! And remember Kinuthia? I swear he put me off math forever. And then our class teacher, gosh I've even forgotten her name but I always wondered how the hell she became an English teacher.
But I had a great time there. Some of the best years of my life!

I remember that class teacher. She certainly did not have any right to be teaching English. And remember that Physics teacher who came from Strath in Form 2 and started us off with "What is Physics?" He didn't seem to realize we had this syllabus to finish some time before KCSE.
Seeing as we were in the same class, remember the Rwandan dance? And remember those functions with Jamhuri boys? And did you go for the Provincial Science Congress? That was purely a social event and a great reason to be out of school for a day or two.
So where are you? Maybe I should ask you some of these questions in your inbox seeing as most people, me included, don't like to reveal personal stuff on these threads.

I cleared a couple of years earlier, but any of you remember Mrs Munyira she was a physics and a Math teacher, she used to raise hell like crazy and curse people out like..., and Mr Nthenge the Chem teacher, and Mrs Kiarie was an english teacher whose hair was never combed. Oh,I know you all got to meet Mrs Maina, the history teacher ?she had too much history in her.....LCVR was the bomb, too many great memories,
Does any of you of the Reunion they are having sometime this month ?
