Kivilo, lioness, Maddawg, Spoony, Brownsugar, Robbie i definitely know y'all well. seems you were all at kili during my times, yaani classes of 85, 86, 87, 88. sup ma pple nice 2 know that there are still kili jamaa's out there. My favorite teacho was Ms Sarah Micheal while in 2Y, 22 yrs ago. My other teachos were Mrs. Muriithi, Waruinge, Mrs. Buku. Remember Fonyi 'Ahoy there', and the school anthem composed by Mrs Odongo (tis true she died in the early '90's), went like this, "These are the years when, we're helped and guided, taught by our school 2 know, and judge and do, prepare for the future, and courage provided, strengthen to serve, supreme optimum." "Teachers and pupils more than a thousand only one purpose to we shall be, lead us for justice in Gods right justness O Kilimani, thanks be to you." Remember closing day, HIP HIP Hooray. Remember how they turned the girls cloakroom into a library, and the boys into a remedial classroom. Remember Tabitha who used to sell stuff at the tuck shop. Front Banda and back banda, going to have lunch in Cosy Parlour, or Addo (Adams Arcade), I hear the 'Kung Fu Fields' where jamaa's used to go and have messes (fights), with lots of sounds of "UYO, UYO" used to take place were grabbed, just before closing day how we would go to 3 pipes to tupa dose. Edward Bunyassi, Victor Mwaura, Allan Mauka and his bro Vinni, Kamau Njenga, John Kangangi, Joseph Mbito and his bro. Micheal Joseph Thiga, Greg Oswana and his sis Mary, June Ochieng, George Odinya Nyakiamo, Isaac Gitau (I was in the same scout troupe with them) Humphrey Kiara, George Kimburi, all of blue house Elgon, Edward Rukwaro and his bro, all of yellow hse, Tawfiq, Muhammed and their sis Tunis (Balala) Oh ya i remember guys like Tim Waga, Rodney Williams (i'm with him in Johannesburg) all of red hse, my classmates kina Paul Mbithi, Andrew Njogu (his bro Geoffrey Njogu), remember the Liberian Twins kina John and his bro, John Peters, Ben Collins and his bro Elijah Collins, Eric Ngugi, then there was Ernest Nyamato, Syama Synuff, Mercean Oluta, Betty Wamola, Caroline Wanjiku, Diana Ayoki, Sarah Mwirigi, Jaqueline Nyakiamo, Jaqueline Ochieng, Harriet Chanzu, Wacu Kiragu, Catherine Luseso, Jeniffer Isige, Naswiha Mazrui, Penina Nungari, the Odundo bro's including Lawrence, Robert Ondeyo, Eric Mbarine, Madanda and his bro Isaac Mwangi, Koome and Muriithi Mbiti, Robert Bunyi, Ligabo Machanja, Edwin Namasaka, Ngoya and Agufana Pepela, Clayton Mbuvi, Richard Mbogo and his sister Joyce (I always had a crush on her), Susan Karanja, Peter Osogo, John Karani, James Wainaina, Robert Karanja, Treddy Majani, all my pple who completed in 1996, the list is endless...I miss y'all guys much ahead of us like Robert Kashangaki, Cassius De Souza, Abdalla Abdalla. Sad to know that Munai (the guy who used to ring the bell ) died in 1987, Mrs. Waruinge died in 99, Mrs. Wamola last year, Mrs. Mambo in 1997. May the Lord rest their souls in eternal peace. Ya Fonyi is in Canada, i wonder whether he took Porgy (remember the doggy) with him. He's based in Malton, Ontario where he is director of the TESL Test of English as a foreign Language board (probably jamaa's in Canada should holla if by chance they should pass by Ontario).
