ODM leadership is at it again. We know how they like to throw tantrums when they don't get state security and lucrative deals. Now seeing that their Cabinet positions are on the line these ODM nyangauu's are back to their dirty tactics of crying wolf. Remember that lunch that Raila had with Jimmy just before he announced that ODM supported the Safaricom IPO? Well now they are coming up with excuses such as the "technical legality" bla bla bla very annoying excuses to get what they want! Ati they are also still pushing for the case against the government at the Hague hehehe!!
Frankly im done with these fools. Sorry guys. Peace. |

At this rate all this new talk about the Safaricom IPO is nothing but hog wash. The sale is going on as planned. Anyang Nyongo is just breathing hot air. If the pentagon was not prepared chumwise for the sale too bad for them. The rest of the country will not wait for them and anyway Agwash has already given it his blessings.... No Raila No Safaricom IPO?? LOL... Even Agwambo's mollasses plant is about to float shares to the public soon... The man swallowed bait, hook line and sinker zamani sana........

3/26/2008 the government was tuesday asked to make public ownership of a company with a 10 percent shareholding of safaricom before the mobile phone firm issues its shares to the public. Ownership of mobitelea ventures limited has remained mysterious since last year when the parliamentary public investment committee questioned the transfer of safaricom shares to it. Vodafone kenya ltd, a subsidiary of vodafone group plc of uk, transferred the shareholding to mobitelea. The house watchdog team described the move as grand corruption. The government is yet to react to the report. Vodafone group plc had acquired 30 per cent shareholding in safaricom from telkom kenya, which owned safaricom kenya limited before entering into a strategic partnership with the uk company. Since the government announced it will sell 25 per cent shares of its stake in safaricom to the public through the ipo, concerns have been raised over ownership of mobitelea ventures limited. On tuesday, african centre for open governance - africog asked the government to freeze the safaricom shares transferred to mobitelea until the issue of how the whole transaction was done is made clear. In a paid up advert in one of the local dailies, africog boss gladwell otieno said the issue must first be made clear to the members of the public before they start buying the safaricom ipo’s on friday. Efforts to get a comment from treasury were fruitless. “the matter is very sensitive and neither the minister nor the permanent secretary is in,” a secretary at treasury told nation. She explained that finance minister amos kimunya and his ps mr joseph kinyua were in day-long meeting. She referred the nation to their public relations officer who was also not in at the time. But a secretary at the pro’s office said her boss will be available wednesday to answer the questions. In their advert, africog queried the rush to dispose of the safaricom shares. “why is there so much pressure to proceed with the safaricom ipo during the deepest crisis kenya has ever experienced?” they asked at the end of the day !!it is not about odm or pnu!! it about all kenyans -this is our money- odm or pnu does not own the 60% shares!! government of kenya is the people of kenya and we should get to the bottom of who owns the mobitelea share?? why should we yet again allow a few kenyans to get rich on our sweat??? ODM may have a point, but they are crying foul when it is already late. Other problem is that nothing will be seen from its perspective - issues are so politicsed that something like the safaricom IPO looked at as an ODM or PNU affair.

then why don't kenyans do it?? we should be the watch dogs by telling both odm and pnu to come clean!!! if we let the trend continue?? how do we expect any change from both pnu and odm at the end of the day?? why the rush when kenyans are still bleeding?? i just don't get it?? i would have thought the first thing on their agenda was to get everyone of the people displaced back to their feet?? very DISAPPOINTING!!!
