Default Evidence gathered, ICC case can start    Show Printable Version  Print   Email this Page  Email

During the height of PEV last year whilst I was having a drink at Midland Hotel in Nakuru,I had a surprise encounter when bounced onto my former colleagues at ICTY and 2 others whom we had communicated with when they were in Combodia doing the Pol Pot ukachero, they were very busy distributing relief, organising IDP and collecting the evidence of atrocities. From this short encounter I was very briefly intimated upon their Mission in RV.....and the rest is now awaiting some short-sighted local politicians at the ICC vaults.....so payukaring that witness will be made to disappear or my clan/tribe will shed blood doen not holds any ground....the crucially important evidence was collected raw from crime scenes and witnesses spirited away, so this charade of a visit by Ocampo is but just a culmination of all the efforts and a sequence that was put in motion a year ago....and as for the main perpetrators of PEV, hiding behind their s***=tribe, or Kibaki or RAO is an act of futility, a deal was and has now been sealed...YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN, and please carry your own baggage as you go......on the other hand the story of Mungiki meeting at SH is just hogwash and nonsense put out there just distract small thinkers by alluding to the powers behind revenge seekers, just take time to think straight for once.....how many have been proven wrong by associating with MK? Guilty by association...give me a break, those 2007 bedfollows will pole apart come 2012 with some having gone down the famous path of betrayal....

I am not sure about the ICTY detectives but one thing which i am sure of, after the bungled election and explosion of the country, one did not need rocket science to understand the extent and pattern of the violence. Whereas violence in Kisumu targeted government installations like water companies etc, Violence in North and Central RV was against Kikuyus and Kisiis.

Its also evident that Luos in Kisumu were against the allegedly bungled election but RV was about violence meticulously planned and sanctioned by the politicians and their supporters. In RV it was about ethnic cleansing. Sample this, Luos in Kisumu started to attack Kibaki supporters after realizing that RV people are doing the same. Luos started burning churches after the church in Eldoret went in flames in RV.

In the midist of these mayhem, i witnessed in burnt forest some Aid workers who were questioning the victims for evidence, including children. They were also armed with video clips of how the politicians behaved before and during the election as they conducted campaigns.

So Moreno as you say has all the evidence. I have something about the issue of Mungiki and the state house but that is for another day. Else this post will be too long

Hayawi hayawi huwa!

As Taram so succintly put it, this is the culmination of a year long meticulous effort of poring of evidence with the sole effort of putting up a prosecutable case that is water tight.

I loved the part where Ocampo said that his organisation will only prosecute the big fish (whatever language he used to refer to this). He even said that his main intention is to stem impunity.

What ails our otherwise good country is the issue of people commiting crime in the false comfort that nothing would be done to them. They steal land, and then frustate the cases in court.

They utter war like utterances, incite their tribesmen, then take a whole clan to the court to intimidate the judge with some uneducated buffoons even sitting in the magistrate's chair. Halafu they allow their tribal kin to march trhough the streets of Nairobi with fimbos and sijui what else and nothing happens. This is the nonsense that Moi brought us as a country.

It made people believe that as members of certain tribes, they wre somehow above the law.

Now, when these killings took place starting in December 2007, the same people thought that all would be business as usual but now, I doubt that they are sleeping well at all. The tide seems to have turned, finally!

Somethign huge is bound to happen and for those here on Mashada as well as the country who keep saying that should we prosecute 'their tribal leaders', all hell would break loose, it will happen. They will be prosecuted because they are on that list, and there is the will to prosecute! I know you know who I am talking about. When that bull is taken to The Netherlands, that is when you'll realise that Maundu ni Njogu.

It will be futile to claim that 'our tribe' is being targetted. That phrase has now become tired. It is as old as the hill. We are tired as a country.

Perosnally, I don't care as to who is on that list. What I care about is for this whole ICC incidence to try and restore some form of sanity, order and law into our country where people pause and think before sayign that 'we shall drive out the foreigners' as if we would have someone as a foreigner in his own country.

Ocamp said that it'd take about six months to prosecute. I lvoe how some of these idiots said that it'd take upto twenty years hence preferring the The Hague route.

AS for Kibaki and Raila, as much as I am disappointed with them, I do understand their predicament.. They want to have nothign to do with it because of the political ramifications. Hawataki watu waanze kusema ati Kibaki and RAila are targetting our tribe and such like nonsense. I think that is a smart move much as I'd have personally liked them to be proactive rather than just let the whole thing to just roll by.

This movie will be interesting. As for all those who were affected, their cries for justice will ultimately be acted upon, and some form of justice meted out, hopefully.

Finally, I do strongly believe that as a country, we can live together harmoniously as we have always done before 1992 without our idiotic leaders sowing seeds of disunity.

Let's first get rid of these leaders who thrive on other people's fears to remain in power.
