Default Now Kibaki wishes he never wrote that letter...    Show Printable Version  Print   Email this Page  Email

3 weeks ago, MK wrote a stinger to Obama calling him names as in as far as diplomatic discourse could allow him. Fast forward just 3 weeks later he is waxing lyrical about Obama's Nobel Peace and "wishing him well in.... his new status (sic) as ...(Peacemaker).

Question is: so why was he trying to fend him off, just three weeks ago when Obama's only interest in the land of his ancestors is to see peace and order restored to this land?

A Nobel Peace Prize does not annul diplomatic norms.

What is your problem? A Nobel Peace Prize is the best CV in the world! It is earned through being an agent of change not a conformist to injustices. Read our very own Wangari Mathaai's story - unbowed.

Default Protest letter

Looks like the more abuse we heap on Obama the more good tidings come his way.

We called him a mere Junior Senator and in short order he became the President.

We wrote him a "protest letter" and the Nobel followed.

Can we please keep on insulting this man...Alfred Mutua...get your mouth in gear and unleash the insults...kanyanga mafuta Alfie.

Kibaki and his handlers are no diffrent from the Republican party.

On one side is a party full of old angry white men.

And on the other we have tired, old senile, black men.

Presupositions and projecting self. No doubt if u were president u would find it a contradiction in defending diplomatic protocol and congratulating obama. Dont try 2 put kibaki in your shoes. U obviously r are an ignorant towel-head.

There's absolutely no problem with me. And I applaud Obama for securing the prize. That makes it two for Kenya. But my statement remains engraved in rock: a Nobel Prize does not annul diplomatic norms. And it never will. Period.

it was said before that some people never learn. now the junior senator has won a nobel prize that a 'senior' dimwit only sees on television.

Friday was "mid term" and Nairobi was awash with uniforms, most of which massacre the harmony of the colour spectrum....if you know what I mean!

Anyways, while going about my usual rounds on the hustle, I came across a coupla teenagers, IN UNIFORM, who were dead drunk; one of their own was passed out cold on the sidewalk and his equally wasted buddies tried (with comical results) to prop him up.

As I bought a scratchcard from a nearby kiosk, the woman behind the counter (a motherly character) shook her head and lamented of the drama unfolding before her,
"Tut, tut! Imagine these are our future leaders."

To which a mkokoteni operator lounging nearby, answered,"
"It's Friday. For all you know, your current president has chewed a blackout on some sidewalk at State House!"

Sometimes I wonder if Emilio actually KNOWS what's cutting around him!
